Agriculture Leaders Debate to be held September 9

The Agriculture Leaders Debate, hosted by the Canadian Federation of Agriculture (CFA), is taking place on Thursday, September 9th at 5 p.m. MT. The debate will feature the current Minister of Agriculture as well as representatives from the Conservative Party, the New Democratic Party and Bloc Québécois as they outline the key elements of their agriculture platforms and debate the future of Canadian agriculture.

It’s been a challenging year for many farmers out west due to the severe drought conditions. But Canadian farmers, and the agriculture industry writ large, have continually demonstrated resilience during difficult times. Canada has the potential to become a world leader in agriculture. This is an industry that can help drive economic growth in Canada and be a solutions provider when it comes to combating the challenges of climate change with the right government policies in place.

UFA encourages you to participate and learn how your vote will affect the future of agriculture.
